How can I get prosecuted! Surely every surface is slippery when wet?
Believe it or not but this argument would have little or no defense in a court of law - hence all the compensation rewards we read about in the media. The HSE are well aware that products like ours exist that will increase the co efficient level of the floor when wet and therefore hold a company 100% responsible for any negligence because they haven't researched what can be done to prevent slips and trips.

How Long will the Non Slip floor Treatment last on tiles?
The Non / Anti Slip Treatments can last up to 5 years if maintained correctly but the reality is we don't know exactly how long because we have not yet had a case where it has worn off. We do how ever recommend you use our after care cleaners as we know form previous case studies that these will help maintain the non slip treatments.

How long will the Non-slip floor coatings last on wood and vinyl?
The Non / Anti Slip coatings are a transparent resin that has micro grit added to it. Recently tested at Satra (an independent testing lab) found the resin withstood 750,000 impacts with no visible damage. We have applied these products in: Warehouses, Hangers, Bridges etc. and basically any areas that come under heavy traffic and wear and tear. Coatings will eventually wear down but we can assure you it will be many years after the application.

Will the Non Slip floor tile treatments change the look of the surface?
This will depend on the specifics of the tile. The most it will do is slightly lighten a darker tile or in some cases remove the very high glaze that is creating the slip issue. But this is not always the case and often the feedback we get from our customers is they are willing to compromise a small change in aesthetics if it means making it safe. Because we are a very conscientious company we believe in making you aware of this before any non slip treatments are applied. Something other companies may not make you aware of before it's too late.

Do I get a certificate to say it's safe?
A certificate from us would have little standing against any claim because we are the company carrying out the non / anti slip treatment we would be classed as having an interest in the contract. This would have to be carried out by an independent testing company and even then they do not issue certificates just results of the readings they find.

What if someone slips over after I have had the Non slip floor treatment applied?
You will never stop people slipping over and nothing is non-slip that's why we say anti slip. But if you can provide evidence (by way of increasing the slip resistance) that you have met your responsibilities and taken action to prevent them falling over then you will have a much stronger case against being sued.

I've heard about acid etching is this what you do?
No!!! Acid etching is a very old out of date technique that in our opinion doesn't work and just creates a rough surface by way of dissolving the surface and ruining the look and the life span of the tile. Our products have been developed in America from the worlds leading company in slip prevention. It's a much gentler technique that only reacts with the silica in the surface and creates incredible vacuum under foot.

How long does the Non slip floor treatments take to dry?
The anti slip treatments that goes onto tiles can be walked on immediately. However the coatings can take longer as the product needs to cure.

I display "wet floor" signs and have mats down is this OK?
Hazard signs will let a person know there is slip issue but in most cases it doesn't prevent the person still having to walk through the hazard. The same with mats - they help prevent a slips but once a person leaves the mat their foot may still be wet from the absorbent water contained in the mat, causing a slip issue once the foot contacts with the hard floor. By law you have raise the co efficient level of the floor to what is considered as Low Risk by the HSE.

Does the area have to be a minimum size?
Absolutely not, Like we say on our web site"From a Step to a Stadium" we will consider any size job and give you the best possible advice without any obligation to proceed. It might just be a cleaning issue. But whatever the slip issue is we can help solve your problem.
