National Companies:
After a refit off our leisure club we found out following a pendulum
test that the tiles in the changing rooms weren’t ideal for the
environment. The cost to refit the changing rooms out again was
not an option. Floor Safe applied a treatment to increase the
slip resistance to the recommended level, they even pendulum tested
the tile to make sure it met Low Risk.

After experiencing some minor slips in the Male changing rooms
we need to find a quick effective solution for increasing the
slip resistance of the tiles on the sloped entrance to the pool.
Floor Safe were able to apply the treatment within the space of
an hour and whilst the changing rooms were still open! That was
over a year ago and no reported slips since.

Mid Range:
Following a health & Safety visit of our new premises we were
required to find a solution to the slippy laminate flooring that
had been fitted. We didn’t want to replace the floor with carpet
tiles and wanted to keep the look of the laminate. Over a weekend
Floor Safe applied a transparent anti slip treatment. This not
only increased the slip resistance but also meant we didn’t lose
the effect of the laminate.

Independant Businesses:
We had a visit form the local environmental officer. One of their
concerns was the kitchen tiles became extremely slippy when wet.
Changing the floor was not an option and we also needed to keep
trading. Floor Safe applied the treatment at 2pm when the kitchen
closed and by 5pm the chef returned and the 40 sq mtrs had been
done and the kitchen was put back to use. The perfect application
for us.

As a result of a serious slip incident in the restaurant we contacted
Floor Safe regarding enhancing the slip resistance of the floor
tiles. A sample had been treated with an ‘Anti-slip Floor Treatment’.
After the treatment the sample was tested with a pendulum and
achieved a ‘Low Risk’ Potential for Slip. Consequently the area
was treated in 2008 and independently retested 1 year later. The
results were 42 PTV, which still meant the slip resistance met
‘Low Risk’

Private:
We were worried about the back steps leading up to our house.
Every time it rained it was lethal. We contacted Floor Safe and
the treatment they applied was fantastic it makes the floor feel
as good in the wet as in the dry.
